A homer by Harmon Killebrew in the second inning and doubles by Cesar Tovar and Danny Thompson in the third produced the Twins' runs in a 2-0 victory over the Yankees. Jim Perry gave up nine hits in the first eight innings and Wayne Granger yielded one more in the ninth, but they were able to hold the Yankees scoreless. [The Sporting News]
