Undefeated Don Sutton brought his record to 5-0 by pitching the Dodgers to a 6-1 victory over the Phillies. However, the ace righthander's streak of 31 consecutive scoreless innings came to an end in the ninth when Greg Luzinski doubled to drive in Willie Montanez with the Phillies' run. Frank Robinson homered for the Dodgers with two men on base in the fifth and Bill Russell added a solo swat in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
