. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Although failing to last the route for the fourth straight time, Tom Seaver received credit for his sixth victory when the Mets defeated the Expos, 7-3. Seaver, in addition to being touched for seven hits, had a lapse of control and forced in two runs with bases-loaded passes before being lifted after 5 1/3 innings. Ron Taylor finished.

The Mets decided the game with four runs in the second on singles by Rusty Staub, John Milner and Jim Fregosi, an intentional pass to Ed Kranepool, balk by Carl Morton and single by Bud Harrelson. [The Sporting News]
