A pass to Jack Brohamer with the bases loaded in the ninth inning handed the Indians a 2-1 victory over the Yankees. Bobby Murcer homered for the Yankees' run in the first and the Indians tied the score in their half on a double by Alex Johnson and single by Graig Nettles.

Tommy McCraw led off the ninth with a triple. After intentional passes to Ray Fosse and Buddy Bell, Brohamer also drew a walk from Fred Beene to force in the winning run. [The Sporting News]
