Dock Ellis and Bruce Kison combined to pitch the third straight shutout to the credit of the Pirates' staff in a 6-0 victory over the Expos. The Pirates used singles by Al Oliver and Jose Pagan, an error by Ken Singleton and single by Jackie Hernandez for two runs in the first inning.
