Mickey Lolich's mastery of the Brewers came to an end when Skip Lockwood posted his first victory of the season and Ellie Rodriguez hit his first homer of the year to defeat the Tigers, 2-0. Lolich had beaten the Brewers seven straight times. However, the veteran lefthander received no scoring support from his teammates and wound up the loser when Mike Ferraro doubled and Rodriguez hit his homer in the fourth inning.
