A double by Cesar Tovar, sacrifice by Danny Thompson and squeeze bunt by Rod Carew produced the Twins' winning run in the seventh inning of a 6-5 victory over the Rangers. Don Mincher fielded Carew's bunt but had no chance for a play at the plate and had to settle for retiring the batter at first base. [The Sporting News]
