Errors by Bobby Fenwick and Lee May allowed the Dodgers to score a run without the benefit of a hit in the 11th inning to defeat the Astros, 6-5. Bill Russell led off by hitting a grounder to Fenwick and was safe on the sub second baseman's wild throw. After a sacrifice by Wes Parker and infield out by Steve Garvey, Bobby Valentine hit a grounder to May and when the Astros' first baseman failed to come up with the ball, Russell trotted home on the error.
