In addition to pitching a five-hitter, Dick Drago knocked in two tie-breaking runs with a single in the fifth inning to send the Royals on their way to a 9-1 victory over the Red Sox. After Drago's hit put the Royals ahead, 3-1, Ed Kirkpatrick batted in two more runs with a triple in the same stanza and scored himself on a double by Cookie Rojas. [The Sporting News]
