The Angels, who had won five straight games, were stopped on that streak by the Indians, 6-4. Alex Johnson homered for the Indians and Milt Wilcox helped himself to victory with a two-run double. However, Wilcox had to leave the mound in favor of Ed Farmer in the seventh inning when the Angels rallied for three runs, two scoring on a circuit clout by Leroy Stanton. [The Sporting News]
