Although Ernie McAnally yielded only five hits, one of them was a homer by Darrell Evans in the third inning when the Braves scored three unearned runs to defeat the Expos, 3-2. Felix Millan was safe on a throwing error by Tim Foli and scored from third with two out on a single by Rico Carty.
