Although rapped for 14 hits, Ken Holtzman lasted the route and pitched the Athletics to a 10-4 victory over the Indians. The only extra-base hit among the Indians' safeties was a homer by Jerry Moses. The Athletics also collected 14 hits but got more mileage out of them with a homer and triple by Joe Rudi, homer by Mike Epstein and double by Sal Bando. [The Sporting News]
