A double by Felix Millan provided the Braves' key blow in a 3-2 victory over the Expos. Millan drove in Ralph Garr, who had singled, to break a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning. Then, after advancing to third on a wild pitch, Millan scored what proved to be the winning run on a sacrifice fly by Darrell Evans. Rico Carty homered for the Braves' first run.
