Billy Grabarkewitz scored from second base on a wild pitch by Juan Pizarro in the eighth inning to bring the Dodgers a 2-1 victory over the Cubs. Steve Garvey homered for the Dodgers in the seventh to tie the score at 1-1.

Grabarkewitz, batting for Tommy John, walked in the eighth and moved up on a sacrifice. On Pizarro's wild pitch, catcher Randy Hundley had difficulty finding the ball and then slipped as Grabarkewitz raced home without a play being made on him. [The Sporting News]
