Rico Petrocelli broke a 5-5 tie with a homer in the sixth inning to provide the Red Sox with a 6-5 victory in a game stopped by rain as the Angels came to bat in the seventh. Carl Yastrzemski returned to the Red Sox lineup for the first time since tearing a ligament May 9 and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.
