Homers by Jim Kaat, Jim Nettles, and Bobby Darwin helped carry the Twins to a 5-3 victory over the Indians. Kaat hit his homer in the third inning.

After Nettles' drive put the Twins ahead in the sixth, 3-2, his brother Graig homered for the Indians to tie the score in the seventh. Darwin, who entered the game as a replacement for Tony Oliva, came to bat in the eighth and broke the tie with his round-tripper. [The Sporting News]
