Two-run homers by Bob Oliver and Leroy Stanton in the first inning enabled the Angels to defeat the Indians, 4-3. However, all four runs were unearned as a result of Alex Johnson dropping a fly ball by Sandy Alomar. After two out, Oliver smashed his homer off Milt Wilcox. Ken McMullen then singled and Stanton also hit for the circuit. [The Sporting News]
