The Astros rallied for four runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Expos, 5-4. Jim Wynn led off by drawing a pass and, after a single by Lee May, Bob Watson also walked to load the bases. Jimmy Stewart drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly.

Following a wild pitch by Mike Marshall, Doug Rader singled for two runs to tie the score. Tommy Helms singled to keep the rally going and Bob Stinson capped it with the game-winning single. [The Sporting News]
