Lee May and Larry Howard drove in three runs apiece and Jim Wynn hit a homer as the Astros batted their way to a 10-5 victory over the Phillies. After Wynn's homer broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning, the Astros went on to score three more runs in the same stanza.

May doubled, Bob Watson walked and Doug Rader singled to score May. After an intentional pass to Tommy Helms, Howard drove in two runs with a single. [The Sporting News]
