The Giants erupted for seven runs in the last two innings and defeated the Cardinals, 8-2. Garry Maddox singled for a run to tie the score at 2-2 in the eighth and Ed Goodson delivered a pinch-single with the bases loaded, driving in two runs, to send the Giants ahead.
