With a grand-slam homer by Carlos May as the big blow, the White Sox scored seven runs in the fourth inning and defeated the Rangers, 10-5. Two walks and an error loaded the bases for the White Sox to start their outburst.

Dick Allen drew a pass to force in one run, leaving the sacks still filled for May's slam. Before the inning ended, the White Sox went on to add two more runs on a walk and three hits. [The Sporting News]
