Eric Soderholm hit the first grand slam of his major league career to provide the Twins with a 7-4 victory over the Angels. Soderholm's smash off Eddie Fisher followed walks to Rod Carew, Harmon Killebrew and Jim Nettles in the seventh inning and boosted the Twins to a 7-0 lead. However, the homer proved decisive when the Angels rallied for four runs in the eighth, three of them coming on a circuit clout by Vada Pinson. [The Sporting News]
