. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Ben Oglivie belted two homers and Marty Pattin hit the first of his major league career to lead the Red Sox to a 5-2 victory over the Brewers, who were stopped on their club record winning streak of six games. Oglivie connected with a man on base in the first inning to tie the score at 2-2.

Pattin came to bat after a single by Carlton Fisk in the second and hit his homer to put the Red Sox ahead. Oglivie added to the lead with his second round-tripper of the game in the third. [The Sporting News]
