Posting his first shutout since May 16, 1970, Jerry Koosman pitched the Mets to a 2-0 victory over the Expos. The complete game was the first for Koosman since last August 25, but the lefthander yielded only four hits and gained his sixth straight victory. Dave Marshall batted in both runs with a single in the third inning and homer in the fifth. [The Sporting News]
