Ben Oglivie, who was a last-minute replacement in the Red Sox outfield for an injured Reggie Smith, smashed a two-run homer in the 10th inning to defeat the Angels, 5-3. The Red Sox also had a homer by Carlton Fisk in the second inning. Ken Berry drove in all of the Angels' runs with a single in third, homer in the eighth and single in the ninth to tie the score after Jim Spencer had rapped a pinch-double. [The Sporting News]
