. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Staked to a four-run lead in the first inning, Rich Hand pitched the Rangers to a 5-0 victory over the Indians. The shutout was only the third to the credit of the Rangers' staff this season.

In their fast getaway, the Rangers scored their first two runs on singles by Toby Harrah, Don Mincher, Dick Billings and Larry Biittner. Hal King then hit a wind-blown fly that fell for a double as two more runs crossed the plate. [The Sporting News]
