With two out in the 10th inning, Frank Robinson smashed a homer to give the Dodgers a 2-1 victory over the Mets. Willie Mays reached base on an error by Bobby Valentine in the first inning and scored the Mets' run on a double by Jim Fregosi and infield out by Rusty Staub, who was back in the lineup for the first time since June 18 after being sidelined by trouble with his right hand.
