The Rangers scored two runs on only one hit in the eighth inning to overtake the Orioles, 3-2. Ted Ford homered for the Rangers in the first, but the Orioles had a 2-1 lead in the eighth when Mike Cuellar dug his own grave by walking Lenny Randle and throwing wildly on a bunt by Tom Grieve. After a pass to Dave Nelson loaded the bases, Dalton Jones forced Randle at the plate and Ford flied out, but Dick Billings singled to drive in the tying and winning runs. [The Sporting News]
