. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Continuing his hot hitting, Billy Williams batted in six runs with a homer, double and two singles to pace the Cubs to an 11-3 victory over the Astros. Williams smashed his sixth homer in his last 11 games with a man on base in the third inning and drove in three of the Cubs' six runs in the eighth with a bases-loaded double before adding his last RBI with a single in the ninth. Joe Pepitone also homered for the Cubs, while the Astros had round-trippers by Doug Rader, Cesar Cedeno and Jim Wynn. [The Sporting News]
