Dick Allen belted two homers and Carlos May smashed one to offset the hitting of Chris Chambliss and give the White Sox a 5-3 victory over the Indians. Chambliss drove in all of the Tribe's tallies, starting with a two-run double in the first inning. Allen tied the score with a homer after a pass to May in the White Sox half. Chambliss put the Indians ahead again with a round-tripper in the fourth, but May and Allen hit back-to-back homers in the sixth to decide the outcome for the White Sox. [The Sporting News] |
