Sparked by Steve Braun, who had four hits and drove in three runs, the Twins defeated the Brewers, 9-5, to end their six-game losing streak. After Braun's RBIs produced a 3-1 lead, the Twins scored three more runs in the eighth, two crossing the plate on a pinch-single by Chuck Manuel, who batted for Ray Corbin after the starting pitcher had hurt his hand while at bat.
