Cleon Jones batted in one run with a sacrifice fly and scored another after hitting a triple to lead the Mets to a 3-1 victory over the Expos. Clyde Mashore stole home for the Expos in the fourth inning.

The Mets tied the score in their half on Jones' sacrifice fly with the bases loaded and went ahead in the seventh when Jones hit his triple and Duffy Dyer singled. Tommie Agee clinched the decision in the eighth with his first homer since May 21. [The Sporting News]
