The four-hit hurling of Dick Tidrow and a homer by Frank Duffy combined to give the Indians a 1-0 victory over the Tigers. The smash by Duffy in the seventh inning beat Mickey Lolich, who allowed six hits before going out for a pinch-hitter in the eighth. The shutout was the third for Tidrow in his last five starts.
