Willie Stargell drove in five runs with two homers including a grand-slam in the first game, and hit another round-tripper in the second game as the Pirates beat the Expos in a doubleheader, 8-0 and 7-2. Two walks around a double by Gene Clines loaded the bases for Stargell's slam off Mike Torrez in the third inning of the lidlifter. The Pirates' slugger added a solo swat in the eighth.

Stargell homered again in the second inning of the nightcap before Richie Hebner took over as the Bucs' blaster. Hebner homered with two men on base in the fourth and picked up his fourth RBI with a single in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
