Vida Blue pitched the Athletics back into first place in the West division with a four-hit, 3-0 victory over the White Sox, who had taken the lead by winning the previous day's game. The A's stepped off with a run in the first inning on a single by Bert Campaneris, a stolen base and single by Mike Epstein.
