The slugging of Mike Andrews, who drove in five runs with a homer and double, enabled the White Sox to defeat the Red Sox, 6-4. Andrews hit his homer with two men on base in the fourth inning and batted in two runs with his double in the sixth. Luis Alvarado ran for Andrews and scored on a hit by Rich Morales. The Chisox were forced to call on five pitchers to stop the Red Sox, who left the bases loaded in first, fifth and seventh innings. [The Sporting News]
