After giving up the Royals' runs in the first inning, Skip Lockwood settled down and pitched the Brewers to a 7-3 victory. The Brewers rebounded with three runs in their half of the first to tie the score and went ahead with three more in the second on a bases-loaded single by Dave May and infield out by George Scott.
