The Angels turned two walks into runs in the fourth inning to defeat the Royals, 3-1. Ken McMullen and Leroy Stanton drew passes and Leo Cardenas singled, driving in McMullen to break a 1-1 tie. Jeff Torborg flied out and Cardenas was caught off first, but while the Royals were running him down, Stanton scored from third base. [The Sporting News]
