Snapping a 3-3 tie, Ted Sizemore drove in two runs with a bases-loaded single in the sixth inning to enable the Cardinals to defeat the Pirates, 5-4, for a sweep of their three-game series. Bernie Carbo and Ken Reitz singled, Reggie Cleveland sacrificed and Lou Brock drew an intentional pass to set the stage for Sizemore's single. [The Sporting News]
