The Twins ended a six-game losing streak by putting four hits together for all their runs in the third inning to post a 3-2 victory over the Angels, who were stopped on their six-game winning streak. Bert Blyleven, who was the winner with the help of Wayne Granger, led off with an infield hit and crossed the plate on singles by Jim Nettles and Steve Braun. Then, after two out, Jim Holt doubled to drive in the two other runs. [The Sporting News]
