Dave Schneck batted in three runs with a homer in the first game and Ken Boswell drove in three, including the winning marker in the 12th inning of the second game as the Mets defeated the Expos in a twi-night doubleheader, 5-2 and 4-3. Tom Seaver gained his 21st victory in the opener. In the sixth inning, Wayne Garrett tripled and Boswell singled for one run before John Milner walked and Schneck smashed his homer. Ron Fairly and Jim Fairey hit round-trippers for the Expos.
