Two former Dodgers, Bill Singer and Bobby Valentine, combined to lead the Angels to a 4-2 victory over the Twins. Singer made his debut in an Angels' uniform by pitching a six-hitter and striking out 10. Valentine provided the winning margin with a single that drove in two runs in the fifth inning.
