Nolan Ryan, winning his second straight complete game, allowed only five hits and struck out 11 while pitching the Angels to a 4-1 victory over the Twins. Vada Pinson homered in the first inning and drove in another run with a single in the third before the Angels wrapped things up for Ryan with two tallies in the fifth on a single by Ken Berry, double by Jim Spencer and single by Bobby Valentine.
