Four unearned runs in the second inning, resulting from a throwing error by Bill Parsons, enabled the Indians to defeat the Brewers, 7-3. Charlie Spikes walked to open the inning and stopped at second on a single by Dave Duncan. George Hendrick bounced to Parsons, who threw wildly to third, Spikes and Duncan scoring on the error. Parsons then retired the next two batters, but Oscar Gamble singled to drive in Hendrick and Jerry Kenney tripled to score Gamble. [The Sporting News]
