Backed by three homers, Jim Perry gained his second straight victory for the Tigers, pitching a five-hitter and beating the Red Sox, 7-1. Al Kaline, Willie Horton and Ed Brinkman provided the Tiger round-trippers. Kaline also drove in two runs with a pair of singles.
