George Scott hit two homers and a single, driving in four runs, and Darrell Porter smacked a three-run homer to help power the Brewers to a 10-7 victory over the Indians. With two out in the eighth inning, the Brewers erupted for three runs to break a 7-7 tie.

Dave May singled, stole second and scored the go-ahead run on a single by Gorman Thomas. After Thomas stole second for the Brewers' fifth theft of the game, Johnny Briggs walked and two runs followed on singles by Scott and Don Money.
