Crossing up the Athletics' strategy, Jeff Torborg knocked in two runs with a bases-loaded double in the fourth inning for the Angels' key hit in a 4-2 victory. Frank Robinson opened the stanza with a single and Bob Oliver walked. After a sacrifice by Leroy Stanton, Ken Berry struck out.
