Don Wilson pitched a two-hitter and gained his first victory for the Astros this season, shutting out the Padres, 4-0. The Astros reached Clay Kirby for two runs in the first inning on singles by Tommie Agee, Tommy Helms, Cesar Cedeno and Jim Wynn.
