. . . where the 1970s live forever!

With help from designated hitter Jim Ray Hart, who drove in two runs and scored one, Doc Medich received credit for his first major league victory when the Yankees defeated the Brewers, 5-2. Hart batted in a run with a single in the fourth inning and another counted on a walk to Gene Michael with the bases loaded. Hart got his other RBI with a double in the fifth and crossed the plate himself on a single by Felipe Alou. Pedro Garcia and Bob Coluccio hit homers for the Brewers' tallies. [The Sporting News]
