After trailing, 5-0, the Angels rallied to defeat the Orioles, 6-5, in 10 innings. The Angels started their comeback with four runs in the sixth, three scoring on a homer by Frank Robinson. Billy Grabarkewitz doubled in the ninth and gave way to pinch-runner Jerry DaVanon, who counted the tying tally on a single by Bob Oliver.

Bobby Valentine walked in the 10th and when Eddie Watt threw wildly to first on a bunt by Vada Pinson, Valentine reached third and Pinson advanced to second. After an intentional pass to Robinson, Jim Spencer singled for his third hit of the game to drive in the winning run. [The Sporting News]
